Synopsis

The film titled "Kapodistrias" is a historical drama set in the early 19th century, telling the true story of Ioannis Kapodistrias, the greatest Greek statesman and the first Governor of Greece after its liberation from the Ottomans.

He defends the freedom of every individual with strength, kindness, and dignity, even sacrificing the great love of his life. Unafraid to confront the forces of evil, he renounces wealth, glory, and international recognition.

When Greece gains its independence, Kapodistrias is called upon to become its first Governor. Although he senses he will be assassinated, he accepts his fate without complaint and sacrifices himself, serving his homeland with unwavering faith and devotion.

This sacrifice ultimately leads him to true freedom.
